In 1977 I left my home in Wales to travel. I think that’s what my mother always wanted me to do, because in school she wrapped my sandwiches in a road map!
I worked in Spain, Holland, Belgium and Germany doing any job avaiable. 5 years later I started to play guitar and sing on the streets. I loved doing this, it gave me a lot of freedom and adventure and it was the beginning of my career as an entertainer.
Inspired by other street performers from around the world, I wanted to do a big street show, so I created a “One Man Band” A drum and cymbals on my back, played with cables attached to my shoes, a mouth harp and my guitar. I was Rocking!
People crowded around me when I came to play in their town. I had lots fun and made a good living from it.
From 1990 to 1993 I won prizes for being the best street performer in Austria, Germany and Switzerland...... The good old days!
Many summers I entertained tourists in Spain at pubs, campsites and Hotels. In wintertimes you could find med at ski-resorts in Switzerland as resident musician in top hotels. St. Moritz, Gstaad, Grindelwald and “The Casino De Montreaux” were some of my favorite places.
I was fascinated by Street Magicians I had seen over the years. I loved the way they captured the audience and how comedy was a big part of the show. So with a few books and a little help from my friends (especially Tommy Cooper) I started to learn some magic tricks.
My father was also a Magician.... He dissapeared when I was 3 years old!
My show today is the result of 10 years performance all over Europe, giving the audience what they want. Nine of those years I have been married with my Danish wife, together we have 3 children (One of each) The last 5 years we have lived in Denmark next to the beautiful “Mariager Fjord”. The camping bus is gone, the big adventure days have gone, but the Magic, the Music and the show lives on.
